The Driving Test
Passing your driving test is in-fact a ticket to freedom.
As long as you have a car and it is taxed, NCT'd and insured, once passing your test, this will give you the right of way to solely drive almost anywhere in the world.
In duration the driving test can last anywhere between 20 minutes and 1 hour depending on traffic and weather conditions.
Generally the average test with the RSA last 35 minutes and tests with the SGS usually the same or somewhat less depending on which centre you go to.
Example: RSA in Navan average testing time 45 minutes.

In this time the tester will observe you and every move and breath you take. The tester has astute and high observation qualities enabling them to determine within short periods, whether you have had enough driving tuition to now drive solely on the road and obtain a full driver's licence. The tester does not make an overall decision upon completion of your test time, but conducts continuous assessment from start to finish. A grading system where mark downs are given for mistakes that you make during your driving test. This can be done on paper or through an electronic device the tester holds.
Unfortunately there are no mark-ups given for good driving, as every tester expects that in coming for your test you will have been prepared and will maintain a good median for driving.
